PoserCloth: Coming Soon to Poser 14

A new level of realism is on the horizon for Poser 14. Cloth simulation is being introduced as part of the new Poser Physics, bringing sophisticated draping, natural movement, and dynamic fabric behavior directly into your workflow. This enhancement represents a significant step forward in expressive motion and scene detail — PoserCloth is arriving very soon.
“How soon?”
The answer:
Well… as soon as next week!

Why Cloth Simulation Matters

Cloth is one of those deceptively simple things that transforms a scene. A cape that actually billows. A dress that sways with a character’s stride. A scarf that catches the wind. A flag that ripples instead of behaving like a cardboard cutout.

With cloth simulation in Poser Physics, you’ll be able to:
Drape fabric naturally over characters, props, and environments
Simulate motion that reacts to gravity, wind, and collisions
Create dynamic outfits that move with your animations
Add realism to everything from curtains to capes to blankets.

PoserCloth isn’t just a new feature — it’s a new playground!

What This Means for Your Workflow

Whether you’re a hobbyist, animator, illustrator, or full‑time 3D storyteller, PoserCloth opens up new creative possibilities:

Fashion scenes with flowing garments
Action shots with dramatic cape physics
Fantasy renders with banners and cloaks that feel alive
Architectural scenes with realistic drapery
Everyday moments with blankets, towels, and clothing that behave like the real thing

If you can imagine it, you can probably drape it...

Built for the Poser Community

You’ve been asking for this — loudly, consistently, and with excellent taste. Cloth simulation has been one of the most requested features for Bullet, and we’re thrilled to finally bring it to life in Poser 14.

This update is for the artists who love detail.
For the animators who love motion.
For the storytellers who love atmosphere.
And for everyone who’s ever said, “I wish this fabric would just move.”

Coming Soon

We’re excited to share that the first release of PoserCloth is expected to arrive next week. The core functionality is nearly ready for you to explore, and we’re putting the final touches on stability, workflow polish, and integration

Alongside the feature rollout, we’ll also be updating the manual, expanding the documentation, and producing new tutorial videos to help you get the most out of the system. These supporting materials will follow shortly after the initial release, ensuring you have clear guidance as you begin experimenting with PoserCloth.

Your patience and enthusiasm mean a lot as we bring this major enhancement to life. The finish line is in sight — and the results will be worth it.

Keep an eye out for the official release date — and maybe start thinking about which outfits, props, and scenes you want to bring to life first.

Because once PoserCloth arrives, your scenes are about to get a whole lot swishier.
