Exporting Partial Scenes

Poser allows you to export partial scenes that include selected content. Some typical examples could include rooms with furniture, landscapes with plants, or figures with clothing and props. Saving these types of scenes as partial scenes allows you to reuse them in other Poser scenes without the worry of importing additional elements that you do not want to duplicate (such as lights or cameras, or other characters that were also present in the original scene).

To export a partial scene, follow these steps:

  1. Choose File > Export > Partial Scene. The Select Objects dialog appears. Initially no items are selected.
  2. Check the items that you want to include in the partially saved scene.
  3. Click OK. The Save Poser Scene window prompts you locate a folder in which to save the scene, and to enter a filename.
  4. Click Save.
  5. To merge previously saved partial scenes into your current scene, use the File > Import > Poser Document/Prop command.
