'Let's Stay In' Create With Poser Contest

We've combed through the entries and selected the top three renders submitted in the Let's Stay In Create With Poser Contest.

You didn't make it easy and there was a lot of debate about who made best use of Poser Pro 11.3 during their time at home. We gave out free bundles of bedroom, living room, and modern apartment scenes for you to use to show what you've been doing as you have sheltered in place. We wanted you to use art to share how the global pandemic as impacted your lives.

"I love the creativity and how they used the freebies we gave them. And the lights/shadow work is really cool on a lot of these. I love the “family” scenes but I had to make a decision," said Jenn Blake, MarketPlace manger for Renderosity and member of the judging panel, which chose the winners anonymously.

And the winner of a free license for Poser 12 when it is released is Lizzie Prusaczyk for her render of a character playing video games in a home.

First Place

Prusaczyk's entry was selected because of the content as well as the skill it took to create not one but two renders. She created the game screen as a separate piece.

" I like the clutter and lighting in her entry," said Cathy Argyrou, a member of the jury. "I know the first week I was playing FinalFantasy7 remake on PS4 so I can relate to the subject matter more."

Blake concurred saying it takes skill with the program to realistically capture the piles of clothes and cans that are falling out of the trashcan.

"That isn't easy to do," Blake said.

Second Place

The second place entry was created by Penne Chaput and shows someone who is possibly living their best life. The character sits on a couch and reads while drinking a glass of wine.

Chaput's entry was chosen because of the point of view and shading.

Third Place

The third place entry was created by Erik Matthew. We've all tried to stay connected to loved ones and the outside world using technology. He captured a Zoom session featuring Poser figures from through the years.

Honorable Mentions

We also had so other great entries that were creative, well-designed and the source of discussions. Here are the honorable mentions that deserve recognition.

You have a second chance to win a free copy of Poser 12 in the "Wish You Were There" Create with Poser contest. The bundles include scenes of classrooms, along with office and retail spaces.
