Using Rokoko's motion capture in Poser 13

One of Poser’s most powerful features is importing motion capture data. While Poser offers very user-friendly tools for posing and animating characters, using motion capture data can save you a lot of time.

Poser supports industry-standard BVH motion capture files, and there are many places where you can find BHV files for your projects. However, you can actually create your own BVH files using Rokoko Video and Rokoko Studio. Rokoko Video is a free AI-driven motion capture service from Rokoko. All you need is your webcam, or any other camera, and a free Rokoko account.

The motion may need some adjustment. For example, your character may be moved from the original position, but you can use Poser’s transformation tools to make the necessary adjustments. You can also use Poser’s toolset to modify parts of the animation and improve the overall movement. This can be very useful to exaggerate some motions, change the timing of the animations, and more.

Combining Poser with third-party tools opens the way to a world of possibilities!

Which are your favorite Poser 13 features? What kind of work do you do with Poser? Share your thoughts in the Poserforums!
